Starting this month, we’ll be interviewing a brewer, asking all the burning questions you want to know about the brewery, their process and any inside tips or stories.
This month, we’ll be sitting down for beers with Gary Fish, founder of Deschutes Brewery. To ask your questions, use hashtag #askgaryfish on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram before July 20, 2015.
Little Bit About Fish:
Founded by Gary Fish in 1988, Fish started with a small brew pub in 1988 in downtown Bend, Oregon named after the Deschutes River. The first year, Deschutes Brewery sold 310 barrels of beer and by the early 1990s, sales were up to 3,954 barrels.
Due to its popularity in the Northwest and beyond, Deschutes Brewery expanded from the small downtown brew pub to a larger facility on Bend’s westside in the mid-1990s now producing over 25 beers across 28 states –making it the sixth-largest craft brewery.
